Wind Damaged Shingles

This example shows how missing shingles contribute to a leak. The "micro leaks" take time to accumulate before it becomes evident inside the home. The loose area along the rake was a larger contributor to noticing the leak as a storm with strong winds drove rain into the roof while lifting those shingles. The predominant winds come from that direction for this particular home.
